May flowers

Today's a rainy day in New York. But so pretty. I met Paul at Pick A Bagel after the gym and we walked home in the rain without an umbrella. The air smelled good and the covered patio at Orsay was packed with girls in strapless dresses and open-toe shoes. It didn't seem to matter that the sun was hiding behind three layers of thick grey clouds. Summer officially starts next weekend and today was a drizzly dress rehearsal.

In anticipation of warmer weather, Paul cleaned off our deck and planted rows of yellow and orange flowers. I spotted these felted wool potters online at Papaver Vert today, and think they'll make a great addition to our little home. Pretty bursts of color creeping up from underneath the grey.

Felted Wool 3-inch Plant Cozies, $24 each at Papaver Vert.
