It is a fancier name for a "bachelorette party." And I've purposely chosen the more formal phrase, as this weekend my girlfriends and I will be toasting our friend Beth in proper form. No penis straws, no lace veils, no "Future Mrs. So-and-So" emblazoned on ass cheeks. This weekend, my lovelies, we're going to the Hamptons. Shake, shake, senora!
What follows is an abridged agenda:
Drive out tonight at 5:30pm. Spend roughly 2 hours reminiscing about our college years and wondering how the last decade has flown by. Where'd it go? There it goes! Catch i- Wa-- Th-- Got it, wait no it's go-- Ahhh...
Arrive at Beth's parents' house, throw on our bikinis, and jump in the pool. Mojito, please. And a Tostito. You know, the ones with just a hint of lime? One whole bag, devoured by Bee.
Drink, swim, chat, pee (not in the pool), prance, primp, repeat. Pass out at 3am.
Awake to birds chirping, crepes cooking (I hope, cause I ain't makin' 'em), and baby oil glistening on our bronzed Brazilian butts.

What? You're waiting for me to insert a caveat here about our not-so-bronzed-or-Latin behinds, aren't you? So rude. Well, fine. Mine's round and kinda pink. Happy?!
Back to the pool...
A light breeze will flutter through the trees, nudging us ever so slightly to wake up and turn over on our chaise lounges.
A mid-day Corona buzz will ease into an early evening catered clam bake...
...and soon we'll be shimmying into our dresses and dabbing pink gloss on our pouts. Kiss, kiss! Flash, flash! "Turn left, Sam, the paparazzi has FOUND us! THEY'VE FOUND US! We must take an alternate route! They're GAINING on us, Samuel! Get going, and QUICKLY!"
Aaaaand scene.
I'll report back to you on Sunday evening, my friends, as I imagine the weekend's activities will leave me with little time to blog. Until then, put your feet up, eat some cake, and take a long, cozy nap, just cause you can.
