I need your help.
The last time I used my iPod was about four months ago. I just can't seem to find the time to compile new playlists, and I'm tired of my current rotation. And since we're eternally tapping into one another for inspiration, I'm turning to you, lovelies, for your musical suggestions:
What song gets you motivated to work out?
What's your favorite song to chill out to?
And there's a hook! Well, of COURSE there's a hook. What's a good song without a hook?
Once I've compiled all your suggestions, one of you will get a copy of both playlists—the Workout List and the Walkabout List—as a thank you for participating.
I'll start with two of my all-time-faves:
Workout: Juicy by Biggie.
Walkabout: The Only Living Boy in New York by Simon and Garfunkle.
Aaaannnnddd go! Thanks for playing ;)

devouring your blog...but your pet peeves include bad grammar, which scares me a bit. i am the queen of fragments. forgoing all rules.
i'll try to be better.
and below? your pic of amalfi? WHO GOES TO AMALFI?!
i'm in awe. and i'll be visiting again.
Yes, but you see...I love it, too! It's a love/hate relationship. There is no judgement of the lovely commenters at The Lil Bee, however. I save that for restaurant menus and storefront signs;)
And I do hope that YOU get to go to Amalfi...everyone should. It's divine.
Thank you for stopping by:)
I like this game. Hard to narrow down to just two but I'd say "Hungry heart" (Bruce) and "Please don't stop the music" (Rihanna).
song to workout to: Stronger-kanye west
song to chill to: Crazy Love-Emiliana Torrini
i hope you enjoy these!
this may be my first visit to your blog but it certainly won't be my last :)
Hmmm, chill song? 100 Days, 100 Nights by Sharon Jones. An oldie, but a goodie! :)
Ooh...thanks DFM and Ashley! Don't know two out of those three. Fun, fun!
Thank you so much for the comment, it made my day!! Right now I'd have to say a "kick ass" workout song would be "Mama said knock you out", and chill out song would be "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley, and as lame as this sounds..."Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver.
I've been meaning to add your blog to my blog roll...so I'm doing it as I type!
Have a great evening!
Okay, (pseudo-retired?) Bee... when I work out (which you know happens ALL the time) I tend to go with what I term "runway" tunage (I should probably shut my mouth right now!)
Work out: Let Me Think About It ~ Ida Corr (They have the video on youtube but DON'T watch it! Kinda cheesy and takes out the sexy "Yeah that's right! I'm workin' this treadmill!" vibe.)
For walking about: almost anything by The Bird & The Bee (Birthday & La La La La are two of my faves!)
Oh...good call...can't go wrong with Bob. And I'm happy to have cheered you up a bit, TC;) Right back atcha with the add!
You're killin' me, Beefy! Oh I have so many fab songs to search out now!!
Oh, and that pseudo-retired bit? Just my way of saying I decided to quit working for The Man and go out on my own as a freelancer. Which means now I say WHO... I say WHEN... I say... WHO!!
Anyone?
Thanks for stopping by my blog :-) I've enjoyed looking around your blog!!! I love your banner/logo! So cute!
Workout - Pocket Full of Sunshine - Natasha Bedingfield

i just downloaded the best workout song, the fratellis flathead. good luck on your search!
Hmmm, well to chill out I, liking One Republic but Im not sure if everyone could chill out to that. Workout? What about some old school New Kids on the Block?? hehe. I kidd!!!
so kind of you to add us to your blog role. i am so excited! thank you, thank you!
I don't work out, so I'll just give you some uplifting work-to-the-beat music: Goldfrapp's Ooh La La
For chillin' I fall back often on my old favorite and high school flame: Neil Finn's Into The Sunset
Van Halen's 1984 album has several special songs to motivate you to pick it up at the gym.
Thank you all so much, guys!
Yasmine: WOW. Now I know how you stay awake to work on your prints!
LB: Welcome;)
Grove: NKOTB I heart you!
Bree: Happy to:)
Cicada: Must be nice, chica!
Anon: I KNOW you. And I love you:)
is it too late to participate?
workout song: you aint seen nothin' yet by bachman-turner overdrive
walkabout song: orange sky by alexi murdoch
Workout Song: "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen
Walkabout Song: "Sunrise" by Norah Jones
I'm late to this party, I know...but I really enjoy mash-up's for working out. They're fast-paced and tunes that you've usually heard before.
ITunes has some by DJ Greg J (Fergalicious mixed with Big Pimpin' is a good one) and my husband finds the "Best of Bootie" albums online. Google can probably find them for you.
