On a day like today...

when it's hot and muggy

and your only respite is a blast of cool, artificial air

or the shadow of a building

you long for something

Like a pool...
or a sprinkler to run through
Friendly's ice cream sundaes
and a hammock... under a willow tree
or cooling your toes in the sand
and collecting seashells... and sea urchins... and such
Slip 'n Slides
and swing sets
playing with the grass in your hands
and drinking lemonade from tall glass pitchers
naps at 4 o'clock
...and not having a care in the world.

I miss those days, don't you?

Images here and spotted on {frolic!}

Slip n Slides! I would probably hurt myself doing it now but I remember having so much fun as a kid doing it. Loved this post and pictures!

Great images.

Great words.

Lovely post.

We used to make popsicles by poking toothpicks into Kool-aide in an icecube tray covered with saran wrap. Did you do that?

Thanks for the memories.
