You may be wondering why I've been slacking on my posts these last two days. Or you may not have even noticed. Well, here it is—I've been injured.
I'm not sure how exactly I was injured, but I am in a lot of pain. Here's how it went down...
* Minor neck/back cramp last night while sitting on the couch watching Flipping Out.
* Climb into my horrific bed (it's bad...very, very bad, now that Paco has destroyed both the featherbed and down comforter. Imagine what it would feel like to lay down on a cement diving board. Now imagine that sensation for nine hours straight. Ahh... so cozy and fresh!)
* Wake up this morning wincing in pain. Cannot turn my head to the left.
* Take two Motrin and a long, hot shower.
* Arrive at work (yes, I'm working this week) and take three Advil. At this point, I cannot turn my head in either direction without turning my entire body around. Similar to C-3PO. Or the Tin Man.
* Take two more Advil at noon. Hit the Nanette Lepore sample sale with Meyer and Hillary. Score a cute lil number for $150, discounted at more than half off! All is not lost.
* It's 3:30pm and, in my current state, it feels as if a dull butcher knife is sawing into my left shoulder blade. Awesome! I look like this:

C'mon...it's "Geek #1" from Sixteen Candles! (Seriously, that's her title in the movie). Surely you recall how gracefully our girl moved across the dance floor? Zexy!
Tonight's plans include a massage (mama don't mess around with pain), drinks in the '20s with good friends Ozzie, Zach, and Meyer, followed by more drinks in the East Village with good friend Brian and Paul. If I wake up tomorrow and am still just as mobile as Geek #1, I'm checking into a day spa. I mean, what's a girl to do?!
Scooped her up here.

ohhhh no - i hope you're back to buzzing soon!
oh no!!! Hope the massage helps!
I WAS PICTURING THE JOAN CUSACK GEEK EVEN BEFORE I SAW THE PHOTO.
I was even going to compare you to her, but them boom, there she was.
This connection betw us? Freaky.
loving this pace even more because joan cusack as geek no. 1 has made an appearance.
seriously. it's a requisite.
actually, i would visit every day twice and kirtsy you double that if i could. xoxo.
I have had something similar...in my expert opinion it is a pinched nerve. Head on to your local chiropractor now. If you don't have one, mine is wonderful and oh so cute!
poor thing. i've had this happen before and it sucks. i think the cocktails and massage will do the trick. i'll keep my fingers crossed.
picture - is that joan cusack (love her)
My D.O. is old and wrinkly but I still wanted to kiss his fossilized face after he fixed my neck recently. Do not suffer! If the massage does not help make an appt. (Oh My, I sound just like my mother!)
Lil Bee!!! Feel better. I hate any sort of neck pain and yours sounds BAD. xo Abbey
Day spa looks like the way to go. Hope you feel better soon.
Mmm, hmm. Yeah, okay...I get it, Bee. LOUD and clear. This is your way of trying to take attention away from my Miss Kathie Lee! Say what you will, feel what you will...drops of water aren't gonna put out a star as big as the sun! Got it?! Good!
Hope you're feelin' right as rain in no time, Bee. Dress? Perhaps mattress should have come first? ;)
Take care...'cause, YES, we all missed you :)
hope you feel better.. i think the day spa sounds like a good idea :)
i hope you feel much better soon!! take care :)
i'm still drunk.
Oh, thank you for your well wishes everyone! I woke up this morning mildly better, though also a bit sore from my massage. I guess I'll just have to get another massage today. Twist my arm! Actually, no, don't, that would hurt.
Meyer, haha! Sleep it off, lovely:)
Ohhhh I know that pain all too well....hope it goes away soon!
ok - don't know what just happened but if this comment comes up twice - forgive me. Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. I had to laugh at the sixteen candles picture. I thought at first -is that her? She's got a neck brace? Must be bad! and then in the same instant knew it was from 16 candles. Ha! Have a lovely weekend
If my husband were around he'd tell you to get used to it. I woke up a few weeks ago after a few days of a sore back and couldn't move - literally. I was flat on my back for two days. Aparently (according to hubby) I'm getting old.
I think that like you, I just need a day at the spa!
darling, are you blaming jeff lewis for our pain? ;)
seriously, we hope you're up and running soon. sleep. rest. relax. motrin. heating pads.
agh! that kind of pain is the worst!!!
i hope you do feel better soon. at least it's the weekend.
take care girl!
OH NO...feel better! Get some rest girl!
Oh, you poor thing. Hope the massages help to untangle whatever mess the neck muscles have wound themselves into. Rest and be well soon. Hoping to hear about your new bed shopping next week. :)
so pretty much the same thing happened to me thursday and i am on vicadin and muscle relaxants till i can get an appointment with a massage therapist. I feel your pain! Fell better!
just read about you on the b of beefy...you're so funny. i enjoy this space so much {and i must really mean that, because it's the second time i've written it on the SAME POST!}...

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. I am feeling a thousand times better today!
