On this post-holiday Monday, as we all yawn and stretch and take a little more time than usual to get out of bed, I thought I'd share with you something that just makes me smile.
Sew Bettie.
The design duo (or, should I say trio) behind this darling brand consists of Mark and Cara from Chicago, and their adopted dog, Miss Bettie Lou Sweet Waters. I mean, how cute is this little munchkin?!
Sew Bettie's line of sewing patterns, DIY kits, and limited-edition fabrics are fantastic. Here are some that I've earmarked for myself...
Cara also pens an adorable blog, Craft Yourself Rich—a damn good motto if you ask me, sister. Oh, and in her spare time, Cara attends medical school and visits places like Nicaragua to provide care to underprivileged children. In short, she is Superwoman.
How's that for lighting a firecracker under your post-Fourth-of-July ass?

I agree with Abbey! By the way my camera is a Fuji FinePix S5200...but I think they have a newer model out now. It's ok for a normal digital camera, but if you can splurge I would go for the DSLR Canon Rebel XSi. I want one SOOO BAD.
i'm participating in a printed swatch swap, and received a sweet envelope from cara last week. i haven't had a chance to view her site, so your post is timely -- now i know more about what a great person she is!
