Sunday came. And we waited.

Philip delivered some gardenias this morning along with my tea. It was just shy of 9am. I wrapped myself in my silk tangerine nighty and dozed off to sleep for a few more hours. Martina may or may not have come to paint my toes. I can't recall.

By 4pm the children and I were hungry. I brewed some diet tea and spoke softly to the palms and ficus plants. Everything was green and thick with anticipation. Pierre thought for sure that he heard a knock at the window. But, alas, nothing.

Somehow I managed to pull myself out of bed and change into my Stevie Nicks gown. You know, the one with the marigold ruffle trim. Fiona donned her purple glitter glasses, which may or may not have been upside down. Again, I can't quite recall. And we lay there in the bathroom—me in the tub and Fiona perched atop the blue-tile ledge.

It seemed like hours had passed, and still no sign of Frederique. At some point we gave up hope that he would ever come. It was just a shame that I had dyed my hair pink for the occasion.

"which may or may not have been upside down" - hilarious.

Is this a regular feature? If not - it should be!

Is it weird that I liked your story so much that part of me wants her life?

Ma Petite Bee, you are a golden god(dess).

Oooh, honey...didn't Anjelica tell you? Frederique is in rehab and won't stop listening to Billie Holiday ~ which may compromise his recovery.

Martina gave up that door-to-door mani/pedi business and up and moved to Sedona to take up silk painting. We don't speak anymore.

It's good to see Fiona taking well to her corrective lenses. But when she gets to see you in all your pink-mane-glory why would she fight the vision?

You are glorious, mon ami!

You've done it again. A brilliant piece of work!! hahaha

Completely agreed that this should be a regular feature. I don't know if it was meant to be funny, but I found it hilarious and spot on as the voice faffy fashion spreads would take if they had one. Looking forward to reading more...
