Fashion Week NYC: The final roundup

The tents have emptied, the models can eat, and editors have dozed off with visions of sugarplums and Anna Sui dancing in their heads. Fashion Week, my friends, has ended.

In honor of the designers that toiled, the stylists who never slept, and my own personal journey of wonderment, cooing, and obsession (a la Calvin Klein and Marky Mark in the '90s), I give you one final look book of my faves.

The magic is in the details.
Beachy hair? Sun-kissed cheeks? A shock of indigo on a peep-toe shoe? Check, check, check.

Stunning accessories by Vera...

...and a sprinkling of fairy dust on the Zac Posen runway.

Speaking of Zac, the lovely Anja Rubik had some kind of spray tan backstage. 8pm: Bronzed in St. Tropez. 11am: Barely sun kissed at Ralph Lauren. Baby must have a power loofa.

And from Ralph to Alberta Ferretti, the safari looks were smokin'.

Hippie dippie do, some sparkles, and powder blue. Somehow it works when Rebecca Taylor mixes it together.

The muted color palette at Max Azria was stunning, as were the shoes.

Funky, feathery, and fierce = the new golden girls. Seen here at Miss Sixty, Monique Lhuillier, and Donna Karan.

Backstage at DvF: mixed patterns and hair like candy.

And the loveliest of twisty 'dos at oh sweet Carolina.

Tough life, Stam, isn't it?
See you next season.

Things I don't understand nor can I tolerate: hammer pants on skinny bitches. Things I adore with a capitol "A": Vera's accessories. Covetable on many levels...

Max Azria collection was my favorite. I love to wear my hair in that twist style, so cute and young, and easy to put on a hat with.

On the one hand, I will miss seeing your fabulous taste a la NY Fashion Week. On the other hand, I'm glad it's over because I was going into completely-overstimulated mode. And wanting to burn my closet to the ground.

LOVE Max Azria!

Swoon...Loving all of these photos. I may consider chopping off a digit to get my remaining fingers on that second Max Azaria number.

Sigh.

Like any bittersweet memory... swoon... I believe I fall in love anew every year. I seem to be getting older though, I am losing my grasp on the models. I used to be so gooood at this. I must be a hick now :)

You are a girl with talent bee. Thanks for taking us with you...
