Gathering with friends in an old-time pub and watching the snow come down...
roaming around the West Village and gazing up at the brownstones...
staring with wonderment at Barneys department store windows...
catching the ice skaters at Rockefeller Center...
loading up on hot chocolate—with whipped cream!—from street vendors...
and, most of all, walking the dogs through a winter white Central Park.
These photos by Bruce Davidson capture the essence of our park like nothing I've ever seen before.

These images feel like they're from another time and place. Incredible!
If snow looked like that all the time, I'd be moving myself north! Beautiful!
Sounds so fun...even though I'm not good in coldness!
Lovely photos! I really enjoy the winter. As long as there is NO ice and all snow, I love it!

Not related to this post, but you need to go to saks.com and search "Dior CDBee Necklace" - it reminded me of you!
Hope you have a great thanksgiving!!

a love letter to nyc! sweet : ) i'm not putting down the many people who visit nyc, but, if you have not lived here or fallen in love here or made friends here or walked the walk-of-shame here...well, you can't understand how deeply one can fall in love with nyc. lil bee: it's obvious to me that you'll always be a new yorker!
Holly Golightly:
I'LL BRING THEM BACK,
ALL RIGHT,
BECAUSE
THEY MUST SEE THIS.
OH, I LOVE NEW YORK.
: )
Sweet Paul, you are truly poetic, as always!
Had my greatest NY holiday moment ever Thursday night. My cab driver asked me to explain why we celebrate Thanksgiving. I told him a beautiful fairy tale of Pilgrims and Indians, and then told him the real story -- complete with war and small pox blankets. But it ruled to accurately recall my highschool-level American History. Best cab ride of my life.
These are really great pictures. I have always wanted to spend more than the 6 hours I once spent there.
so inspiring! i'm totally inspired by this and now my boyfriend and i are going to go up to central park tomorrow. thank you SO much!
