PERFECTION! i love them and they're adorable facial expressions not to mention the sweet voices. thanks for sharing, dearie - that video is a keeper. maybe, i'll start my 2009 favs today? happy new year!
Oh I love how they bop and sway and get into it. Aussie children's choirs do not bop. Have you ever flown Qantas and seen the children's choir in its ads? No boppin' and swayin' there. No sireee.
I love their enthusiasm and imagine with a teacher like that -- who is eager for them to sing contemporary music -- it is hard not to have enthusiasm in that class. What a wonderful way to start the new year, thank you for finding this for us. Happy New Year Melisa!
What a great video...Something these kids will remember for the rest of their lives. What a special momment and a great teacher. Thanks for sharing this!!!! Also, thanks for your reccomendation on "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." What a beautiful book....
Oh, Bee!! Last time I was here I left without commenting. I was too busy crying. I am such a sucker for stuff like this. My wish for this year is that all children will have at least one such moment this year. Look at those faces!!
Jesse, I know...it totally got me! So sweet. If you google PS 22, there are a bunch of songs on youtube. I give that teacher so much credit! So inspiring.
She don't believe in shooting stars, but she believes in shoes and cars.

I love this! I read the article in the Times last week and fell in love with them and their teacher.
And...P.S. 22 is Staten Island. I have to point this out because I am very protective (sometimes) of my oft-maligned hometown. ;-)
Happy new year!
You're so right, Laura...thank you! Changing now:)
I love watching those kids and their teacher..how awesome would it be to be in his class???

You're welcome, Angie...so happy to hear you like it! I've got about 2/3 left to go but I am loving it so far.
cute kids and a great age. a year from now they'll all be 'whatevs.'
spoken with authority from the father of a 6th grader (duh!!)
That is absolutely amazing!!! I sat here with a goofy smile on my face the whole time watching it. Thanks so much for that!

LOVE this!!! Thanks for much for sharing. Staten Island is my hometown! Go PS 22!!!
Made my day!!! I could just hug those kids!
Especially the ones who bring their hand up to their hearts while they sing... it's like they've never meant anything more in their little lives.
Presh.
