Do you make grocery shopping lists?

Author-photographer-crazy collector Bill Keaggy compiled dozens of discarded shopping lists for his book Milk Eggs Vodka: Grocery Lists Lost and Found. Here are a couple that gave me a giggle...

Such a fun glimpse into other people's lives, don't you think?

I like "1/2 & 1/2"...I love seeing cute abbreviations for things that might even take longer to write just for the sake of abbreviating!

Very funny. I always try making lists, but it never actually happens. I think poop bags would make it on my list as well since I use them with our 2 pups. :)

i love these! especially the 1/2 n 1/2. they are like secret windows into someone's life. i'm not a peeping tom but it sort of makes everyone feel a little more real. Don't you think?

you know how you're supposed to make grocery lists so you only buy what you need. well i make lists so i dont forget what i need and then buy everything else that i want :)

do i make grocery lists... i have a slight addiction to post it notes. my problem is that i make fantastic lists and then proceed to leave them at my house or in the car. i wonder how many of my own are floating around the various valley grocery stores right now!

These are so interesting! I'd like to see that book of people's little lists. I bet it provides for quite a few laughs. ;)

too funny. it'd be interesting to do a comparison of the list with what's actually in the cart. here's why: my list: apples, bananas, asparagus, string cheese. my cart: haagen dazs, pretzels, red vines. oops.

Okay, I have to admit that I gaze at other people's baskets and try to gain some sort of idea of who they are. I don't mind waiting in the checkout line at all for this very reason.

Em: you just made me crave red vines. OMG I need them now.

I've never written a grocery shopping list of my own, but I am absolutely fascinated with the long-forgotten ones I find in supermarket aisles.

I tend to examine the handwriting, paper, items...it truly makes you wonder who the person is. :)

I love this book! I think it's so clever and completely agree that it's like a small glimpse in to the "every day" of our lives.

i'd give you a million bucks if you could make a meal out of that. :)

I always list because I am an insane person and can't remember anything! LOL

wow, i can't believe this person saved all of those lists! I usually throw them away when I'm done, usually on the way out of the store, haha.

I have a customer who used to bring me the grocery lists her husband wrote so we could have a good laugh. He won't be winning any spelling bees. The funniest one had on the list, paper bowels. He meant paper bowls.
