A couple months ago one of my fave blogs ever, This is Glamorous, hosted a giveaway like no other: free interior design services by NYC-based agency Lavender & Plum. So, I sent in photos of my home and specified my very tiny budget and... wait for it... I WON!
(A pause while I give a little shimmy to the boys, Karen Walker-style.)
Initially I thought I'd focus on redesigning our dining room but, with a wee little bebe on the way, I'm going to have miss Michele of Lavender & Plum decorate our nursery! Here it is in its current state (aka the guest room).
I've got the color down—a sweet buttercream yellow, which I'm keeping even though we'll find out in two weeks if it's a boy or girl (yellow is my favorite color, natch). And I have one piece of furniture picked out: the white dresser you see in the bottom left corner. It was mine when I was a baby. Other than that, Michele Krantzow has a clean slate. I can't wait to start seeing it come together!

Wow, congrats! What great timing. I really like the color you've chosen for the walls. I painted my son's nursery a shade of yellow too. I decided on the color long before I knew I was having a boy. It turned out to be a wonderful color for the space. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.
Have a Happy Weekend!

Sweet! what an awesome win. I can't wait to see the finish product. How soon will she get started and how long will it take?
Thanks, Liza! So nice:)
Chelly: Michele has already started asking for measurements, etc. My next steps are to get her inspiration photos, so I am busy digging those up. I'm not sure how long it will take just yet, but I figure she has approximately 21 weeks (till the bebe is due)!
You lucky momma (to be)! Good for YOU! I can't wait to see the outcome...
you need to let me feature the process or at least some of the results on lifeinasippycup.com. It's venti for "lil'er bees" - right up your current baby mama alley!
Can't wait to see the fab nursery!
Abso-friggin-lutely, sister!
