My friend Renee once said that I am "a true original" and I decided that might be the best compliment I've ever received. A true original can be quirky and strange and different, and most definitely flawed, but she is her own person.
When I look at Devon, I see a lot of Paul... his jawline, his expressions, his bright blue eyes. But beyond the physical attributes, I find myself wondering what aspects of our personalities Devon will inherit. Will she like airplane food like her mom? Or be obsessed with sports like her dad? Will we have the same taste in music or will she roll her eyes at my playlists?
Here's what I know so far... little miss loves sunshine, cuddling, and the sound of running water. She does not like bath time, her Boppy chair, or diaper changes.
She is, most definitely, a true original.

I often wonder the same thing about my baby. She already rolls her eyes like I do and babbles on non stop like her dad. It is pretty incredible to watch a personality develop, isn't it?

I believe that she is going to grow up to be independent. She'll love her mommy and daddy, but want to forge her own way in the world - from playlists to hobbies to likes and dislikes! :)
