Brad Pitt once said that you should give to charity until it hurts a little. I like that. It's important to find a cause that you love and donate as much as you can, as often as possible. Here are some that I support.
Animal rescue organizations:
Save a Sato, an organization in Puerto Rico that places abused and abandoned animals into loving homes in the States

American Red Cross (you can direct your money toward Haiti, Chili, or wherever help is needed most)
